KROLL is a criminal background investigating company that we use, they will find out if they spit on the sidewalk.

Call the applicant back in for a second interview, leave him alone in the office with $500 lying on the desk, and see if it’s still there.

Secure the services of a background check company. I am presently using Lexis/Nexis.

    The state police.
They will respond, either no record, charges pending, or convictions.

there are various agencies that can access the federal database, calling the state police is not the answer they will only tell you if there an existing warrant , it should cost about 150.00 from most legitimate firms, you should get a national not local background check, credit as well

Use a LICENSED PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR to do a criminal background check as they have LEGAL access to databases. I am one. Contact me via my email address and we can communicate further. Don’t listen to others who have never done a background check in their lives!

I’m in the pre-employment screening industry. You will want a company that is “FCRA Compliant”. That means they follow the guidelines and regulations of the “Fair Credit Reporting Act”. You may also wish to make sure they are a member of the NAPBS (http://www.napbs.com) which is the National Association of Professional Background Screeners. If you want to call my company, I would be happy to get you a discount. I work for BackgroundsOnline (http://www.backgroundsonline.com). Just ask for the sales department and tell them you would like a discount (you can tell them where you heard about us).
