How do I clear my Florida criminal record?

I have a criminal record from 8 years ago. How do I clear it? Does Florida let you expunge it? Are there “do it yourself” websites or good attorneys that can help?

   I just went through a similar experience. 8 years ago I was convicted of a misdemeanor in Florida. I completed my sentence and paid my restitution. Nonetheless, having a misdemeanor on my record kept haunting me. I’ve decided to do something about it and started searching on line for some useful websites. I found this:

   I found the information on expungement to be really useful. I eventually ended up retaining an attorney who cleared things up for me. However, there is no reason to believe that you can not expunge your record yourself. Best of luck!

   This is done through the courts. An attorney would be best to have. Not easy, but can be done.
