Aside from the obvious of murder, of course.
For example, when the fisherman found Emmett in the river, he immediately buried Emmett without his mother’s permission; is that against the law?

Emmett Till was lynched for whistling to a 22 year old white girl Carolyn Bryant, according to some sources he was taken from his house by white men (that’s kidnap), he was brutally beaten and tortured (torture and agravated assault) then he was shoot to the head (that’s murder) and trown into the Mississipi river; Now the Fisherman found the body and buried it without the mother’s permission (that’s accessory of murder, obstruction of law, and unlawful disposal of a human body)
Several charges against several different suspects and witnesses involved could be:
Kidnapping
Hindering Prosecution
Assault/Torture
Giving False Information
I did not find a source that indicated the fisherman had buried young Till’s body against his mothers wishes. What I did find was that Emmetts mother wanted her sons body visible during the funeral, despite numerous attempts to do otherwise, so that everybody could see the horrific and sad ordeal her son suffered!
